Steven N. Stein
Steven N. Stein is co-founder and Principal of Five Stones Investment Group. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of FSI Group LLC, a registered investment advisor with a specialization in the Financial Services sector.
Between 1995 and 2020, he was the co-portfolio manager of that firm's equity hedge funds and its six private equity funds.
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Stein has served on the boards on various publicly traded and private banks, real estate, and financial service companies. He was formerly a partner in Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, LLP.

John M. Stein

Over the past 20 years, Mr. Stein has served on the boards on various publicly traded and private banks and financial service companies. Prior to founding FSI, Mr. Stein served as a Vice President of Bankers Trust Company.
He is currently President of the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati and serves on a number of other philanthropic boards.

Eric S. Stein
Eric S. Stein has been in asset management industry for nearly 20 years. Prior to devoting his time to Five Stones Investment Group, Mr. Stein served as an Assistant to the Secretary for Finance & Budget the United States Treasury Department and as a Special Advisor to the Secretary for Foreign Assistance & Budget Planning at the United States Department of State.
Prior to his time in Washington, D.C., from 2003 through 2016, Mr. Stein was a Partner & Managing Director of FSI Group, LLC ("FSI") which managed in excess of $5 billion in assets at its peak spanning a long/short equity hedge fund, a series of private equity funds, and fixed income securities issued primarily by financial institutions. During his time at FSI, Mr. Stein served in various analytical and strategic roles.
Mr. Stein began his career in the Financial Institutions Group of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Restructuring Department of Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York City. Mr. Stein is a 2002 graduate of Williams College where he received a B.A. in History and was a member of the Men's Soccer Team. Mr. Stein has worked as a registered representative holding NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
